About Rob Carr our principal photographer

With over 50 years of experience behind the lens, Rob has cultivated a deep passion for the art of photography, spanning a diverse range of genres. His early work began with travel photography and evolved into captivating wildlife, landscape, street, and fine art photography. Along the way, Rob has been commissioned for commercial, event, product, studio, portrait, and fashion projects, showcasing his versatility and skill. Rob has a unique collection of images showing the striking Brutalist architecture of the 1960s.

Now focused on producing high-quality fine art photography, Rob’s work is characterised by a creative exploration of lines, shapes, contradictions, textures, opposites, and symmetry as well as the conventional. Through his lens, he invites viewers to journey within the image, encouraging them to discover hidden details and subtle nuances. His images are meant to provoke thought, inspire contemplation, and allow for endless interpretations.

Rob’s portfolio reflects his eclectic style—varied, mixed, and diverse—offering a fresh perspective on the world. He always seeks the extraordinary in the everyday, aiming to capture the stand-out, the different, and the individual. It’s a pursuit that’s not always easy, but the quest for unique artistic moments is at the heart of his work.

Working with the latest technology, including Canon, Nikon, and Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Rush, Rob uses them to express his artistic vision with precision. His smartphone also finds its place in his creative process.

Born in East London and a former solicitor with a distinguished 30-year career in the City, Rob's photographic journey was long in the making. Despite a career that kept his creative passions in check, his artistic drive never dimmed. He later honed his skills formally at Morley College in London, where he also exhibited his work.

Rob’s artistic evolution has been supported by a strong network of friends and family, for which he is profoundly grateful. Their encouragement has been instrumental in his continued growth and success as a photographer
